Welcome to Greenside AI ("the Service"), an AI-powered turf management platform for golf course superintendents and turfgrass professionals. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Pesticide and Chemical Application Disclaimer

Greenside AI may provide information about pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, and other chemical products used in turfgrass management. This information is for general educational purposes only and does not constitute pesticide application advice, an application recommendation, or a substitute for the product label.

• The pesticide label is the law. You must read and follow all label directions, precautions, and restrictions before purchasing or applying any pesticide.
• Application rates, timing, and use patterns suggested by the AI may not reflect current label language, state restrictions, or site-specific conditions.
• Always verify that a product is registered for use in your state and on the target site (golf course, turf type, etc.) before applying.
• Greenside AI is not a licensed pesticide applicator and does not provide legally compliant application recommendations.
• Always consult a licensed certified crop advisor (CCA), extension specialist, or agronomist for site-specific pesticide recommendations.

2. AI Limitations and No Warranty

The AI assistant in Greenside AI is powered by large language models and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technology. AI-generated responses:

• May contain errors, outdated information, or hallucinations (plausible-sounding but incorrect statements).
• Are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current.
• Do not constitute professional agronomic, legal, financial, or regulatory advice.
• Should always be verified against current product labels, extension publications, and qualified professionals.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any information provided will lead to any particular outcome.

3. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GREENSIDE AI AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM:

• Reliance on AI-generated content or recommendations
• Pesticide applications or chemical management decisions made based on information from the Service
• Crop, turf, or property damage resulting from use of the Service
• Regulatory violations arising from application of information from the Service
• Interruption, suspension, or termination of the Service

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate, distribute, or facilitate any unlawful activity
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI system, knowledge base, or any proprietary content
• Share your account credentials or allow others to access the Service through your account
• Use the Service to compete with or build a competing product without express written permission
• Submit false, misleading, or harmful content through the Service
• Circumvent any rate limits, access controls, or security measures

5. Data Usage and AI Training

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your questions, interactions, and feedback may be used to improve the AI system, including for model fine-tuning and quality evaluation.
• Usage data and query patterns may be analyzed to identify knowledge gaps and improve answer quality.
• You should not submit personally identifiable information, confidential business data, or trade secrets through the chat interface.

6. Intellectual Property

The Greenside AI platform, including its software, design, branding, and original content, is proprietary. The knowledge base incorporates publicly available turfgrass research, university extension publications, and EPA-registered pesticide labels. Product labels are the property of their respective manufacturers and are provided for reference only.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (scouting reports, notes, data). You grant Greenside AI a limited license to process and store that content to deliver the Service.

7. DMCA / Copyright

If you believe content on Greenside AI infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to our designated agent at the contact information below, including: a description of the copyrighted work, the URL of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, and a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraudulent activity, or at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notice.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction.
